Dr. Angelie Santos Transition
Dr. Angelie Santos will be relocating and will no longer be practicing with KSOSN effective September 1, 2026.
We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition of care. Patients currently under Dr. Santos’ care will continue to receive the same high-quality nephrology services from our experienced team of physicians and advanced practice providers.
If you currently have an appointment scheduled with Dr. Santos, a member of our team will contact you if any changes are needed. If you are on recall for a future appointment, our scheduling team will reach out to arrange your next visit with another KSOSN provider.

Celebrating Dr. Richard Cottiero’s Retirement

Henderson Office Relocation
Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada is excited to announce that our Henderson office will be moving to a new location!
Our New Henderson Office will open on Tuesday, September 1, 2026

Our current Henderson office will permanently close on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Temporary Telemedicine Clinics
To allow our team time to complete the transition to our new office, Henderson clinic appointments scheduled on the following two (2) dates will be completed via telemedicine:

Warmer weather brings unique challenges for kidney patients. This month focus on staying safe, cool, and prepared during the summer months.
For Nephrology Patients:
Heat can affect hydration and blood pressure. Staying cool, monitoring fluid intake, and recognizing signs of dehydration or overheating are important during hot weather.
For Dialysis Patients:
Travel and schedule changes can impact treatments. Planning ahead for dialysis while traveling and managing fluids carefully can help you enjoy summer safely.
For Transplant Patients:
Sun safety is especially important after transplant. Using sunscreen, wearing protective clothing, and staying hydrated help protect your health while enjoying outdoor activities.
Remember: Planning ahead helps you stay healthy and enjoy the season.
Kidney Friendly Recipe of the Month
Greek Cauliflower Rice Bowls with Grilled Chicken
Ingredients
Yield: 8 cups
- 6 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, divided
- 4 cups cauliflower rice
- ¾ teaspoon salt, divided
- ⅓ cup chopped red onion
- ½ cup chopped fresh dill, divided
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped cucumber
- ½ teaspoon ground pepper, divided
- 2 tablespoons chopped Kalamata olives
- 2 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
- Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Nutritional Information
Serving Size: 2 cups
- Calories 411
- Carbohydrates 9.5 g
- Protein 29 g
- Sodium 630 mg
- Potassium 560 mg
- Phosphorus 280 mg
Preparation
- Preheat grill to medium.
- Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add cauliflower, onion and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the cauliflower is softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup dill.
- Meanwhile, rub 1 teaspoon oil all over chicken. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Grill, turning once, until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the breast reads 165°F, about 15 minutes total. Slice crosswise.
- Meanwhile, whisk the remaining 4 tablespoons oil, lemon juice, oregano and the remaining 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper in a small bowl.
- Divide the cauliflower rice between 4 bowls. Top with the chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, olives and feta. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup dill. Drizzle with the vinaigrette. Serve with lemon wedges, if desired.

Thomas Lim, Jr., M.D.
Specialty: Nephrologist
Dr. Thomas Lim is a product of three cultures and one passion. Born in Manila, Philippines and raised in a Chinese and Filipino household, Dr. Lim came to the United States to further his medical training.
His passion for medicine and caring for others was born early, but it was during his medical school residency that Dr. Lim became fascinated by nephrology. While the complexity of CKD added to its appeal, Dr. Lim understands how overwhelming it can be for his patients. He is careful to take extra time to answer patient questions and thoroughly explain their treatment plans.
The sunny climate and diverse lifestyle attracted Dr. Lim to Las Vegas while the extraordinary talent and reputation of KSOSN attracted him to the practice. He values the comprehensive approach provided by the practice and knows it contributes to better outcomes for his patients. Dr. Lim is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. His faculty appointments include the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas and Touro University in Henderson.
Dr. Lim is married and in his free time enjoys traveling with his wife and two children, listening to music and playing the piano. For patients of Filipino descent, Dr. Lim offers an extra level of comfort as a fluent speaker of Tagalog and Ilocano.
