Myacinth Pineda obtained her FNP degree from Touro University, and is board certified through American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she was awarded with clinical excellence award and worked as a critical care nurse, then as a trauma coordinator at a local hospital facility. She was exposed to many complex diseases and finds fulfillment in seeing patients get better from being ill.
Focusing on a specialty and mastering it has been Myacinth’s goal. She has found interest in renal medicine and how renal function can affect other vital organs, and thus the person’s overall health. Pressure regulation, acid-base balance, and electrolyte abnormalities are just a few of what she finds interesting in nephrology. Transplant nephrology interest her the most, knowing that a successful transplant can give someone a new chance in life and better quality of life. She has experience working in Family Medicine at Nellis Air force Base and had the opportunity to serve those who served.
She was born and raised in the Philippines and moved in the US at a young age. She joined KSOSN to become a part of providers who are dedicated in delivering comprehensive and quality renal care.
Myacinth is passionate about her patients, and loves making a positive impact in other people’s lives.
She speaks both English and Tagalog fluently. She loves traveling and trying new food and places with her husband and kids.
