Dr. Mario A. Torres is a seasoned nephrologist with a rich and varied career. He embarked on his medical
journey with early exposure to the complexities of kidney disorders. During his internship in New York,
he found himself drawn to the renal and dialysis floor, where an attending nephrologist served as his
mentor, igniting a passion for the specialty.

With the dawn of the 1990s, Dr. Torres commenced his practice in Southern New Jersey, immersing
himself in the academic environment of a major teaching hospital in Camden. Here, he played a pivotal
role in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows in nephrology, fostering an
environment of continual learning and clinical stimulation. Additionally, he contributed to the region’s
medical landscape by participating in the only transplant program in South Jersey.

Driven by a desire to be closer to family, Dr. Torres relocated to Arizona, where he became an integral
part of a state-wide nephrology practice in Western Arizona. However, the allure of Las Vegas, coupled
with the opportunity to join KSOSN, Southern Nevada’s premier nephrology group, proved irresistible. At
KSOSN, Dr. Torres brings his wealth of experience and pragmatic approach to patient care, emphasizing
effective communication and personalized treatment plans.

Passionate about healthcare, Dr. Torres takes immense pride in delivering exemplary patient care and
remains committed to upholding the highest standards of medical practice. His dedication to staying
abreast of scientific developments in the field underscores his unwavering commitment to the
advancement of medicine.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Torres treasures his role as a husband and father of two adult children. Having
immigrated from Cuba with his parents, he values the lessons of perseverance and hard work instilled in
him during his upbringing. Dr. Torres finds solace and joy in fitness, golf, music, and spending quality
