Evelina Baltrune, APRN, AGACNP-BC

Evelina Baltrune graduated from Nevada State College for her BSN. She completed her Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master’s Degree from Grand Canyon University.

She worked in intensive care unit alongside professional and knowledgeable KSOSN physicians and decided to advance her career to become a nurse practitioner. She is trained and experienced to take care of CRRT patients and have always been interested in nephrology as it is one of the most important body systems defining the outcomes and quality of life of the patients. She joined KSOSN as it has an engaging and dynamic specialty that promotes critical thinking. She believes that KSOSN has inspiring, and caring physicians and the team has an excellent bedside manner, training, and experience to provide outstanding patient care.

Evelina feels that her experience in critical care while taking care of the most complicated patients in Las Vegas has provided her with opportunities to approach the most complex treatments and provide empathetic care not only for the patients, but also for their families. Her patients can have trust that she will go to battle for them and they will be treated with dignity and respect. She is responsible and detail-oriented while also a partner that referring physicians can trust.

She feels that a nephrologist becomes a part of the family member when managing chronic kidney disease since it can be a lifelong relationship, therefore, it is important to develop trust and caring relationship with the patient. Her special interest is in acute kidney injury management as majority of the patients present with it in acute and critical care. It is a delicate balance and frequently can determine patient’s survival.

She was born and raised in Lithuania and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Master’s Degree in Economics from Lithuania. She speaks Lithuanian and Russian in addition to English. She has a 6-year-old daughter who loves ice skating and travelling with her.
