BIO

Dr. Parekh was born in Hyderabad, Pakistan, and inspired to pursue medicine at a young age after losing his father to cancer. A bright and dedicated student, he earned a gold medal in his final MBBS examinations from Liaquat Medical College in Jamshoro, Sindh. After completing his house job in Hyderabad, he advanced his clinical training in one of Karachi’s most prestigious hospitals and spent a year teaching at a local medical school—an early reflection of his passion for education and mentorship.

Motivated by a family member’s experience with kidney failure and transplantation, Dr. Parekh developed a deep interest in kidney disease prevention. In 1995, he moved to the United States to continue his medical training. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Western Reserve Care System in Ohio, followed by a Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

For over 15 years, Dr. Parekh served at the Arizona Kidney Disease and Hypertension Center and held the role of Medical Director at Fresenius Dialysis Center. He is currently an Assistant Professor at a local medical school, where he shares his expertise in nephrology and preventive care with the next generation of physicians.

Dr. Parekh is board-certified in nephrology and remains actively involved in community outreach. His philanthropic efforts include organizing initiatives that promote health and education for underprivileged children.
