Bio

For Dr. Punjot Singh Bhangoo, nephrology is more than a specialty-it’s personal. His interest in the field began early, inspired by his grandfather’s long journey with kidney disease and years on dialysis before receiving a transplant. With the guidance of exceptional mentors during medical school and his internal medicine residency at LSU Shreveport, Dr. Bhangoo found his calling in nephrology.

Dr. Bhangoo chose to practice in Las Vegas due to the city’s rapid growth and increasing need for dedicated physicians. With family close by and a strong interest in working with a team that prioritizes comprehensive care, joining Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada (KSOSN) was a natural fit. What sets KSOSN apart, he says, is their continuity of care—not only in the clinic but also during hospitalizations across nearly all hospitals in the area.

He is passionate about providing care tailored to each patient’s unique medical needs, working closely with them to ensure informed, personalized treatment. Dr. Bhangoo also values open communication with referring physicians to deliver the highest standard of coordinated care.

His clinical interests include acute kidney failure, hyponatremia, and peritoneal dialysis. He is a proud member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and is especially interested in the complex causes of chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Outside of medicine, Dr. Bhangoo enjoys exploring the outdoors with his significant other and their dog, often hiking the trails of Red Rock Canyon and Mt. Charleston.
