Dr. Parag Parekh completed his medical degree from Touro University, Nevada, and residency from Valley Hospital Medical Center. He completed his fellowship from Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC)/Cedar Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA).

During his training in Internal Medicine, the physicians of KSOSN became his mentors and helped shaped his growth as a physician. He decided to join KSOSN, as it is one of the largest nephrology practices in the valley and can provide first class resources and continuity of care.

He decided to join the Nephrology field as he wanted to apply his interest in science to making long term impacts on people’s lives. Nephrology offered the perfect opportunity to achieve this.

Dr. Parekh is a strong patient advocate who is thorough and accessible. He brings his easy-going attitude to provide a comfortable atmosphere where his patients are heard and feel empowered to improve their health. Although the number of people with chronic kidney disease is growing, he believes that with the exciting advances in knowledge and technology, it does not have to be the debilitating disease it once was. His area of special interest is management of autoimmune kidney disease, kidney stones, and dialysis.

Parag grew up in Southern California. He first moved to Las Vegas in 2011 for medical school and stayed for his residency. He met his wife in residency and realized that he wanted to establish his roots here. He enjoys sports, especially basketball, and is a diehard Lakers fan. He has worked with Three Square Food Bank, Las Vegas Rescue Mission, and Communities in Schools of Nevada.
