Kamron Saleem, MD
Dr. Kamron Saleem chose a career in nephrology as it provides an understanding of the complexities of medicine down to the fundamentals. He was drawn to the field as it enables him to establish long-term relationships with patients to make an impact on improving their overall health and quality of life. He completed his internal medicine residency in Baltimore, Maryland and completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Arizona. He was selected as chief fellow by faculty when he was the junior-most in his fellowship program.
He chose to work at KSOSN because the group has a diverse number of nephrologists who offer various areas of cutting-edge expertise. Also, the Nephrology community is small, and KSOSN has an elite reputation in the nation.
Dr. Saleem believes in treating each of his patients with compassion, and he takes pride in the time he spends to provide the optimal care for each patient, with a plan tailored to their individual needs. He understands the anxieties that patients with CKD often have, and takes the time to listen and alleviate their concerns. He has a special interest in managing patients with acute kidney injury as well as intensive care unit nephrology.
He is a member of American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology and National Kidney Foundation. He grew up in British Columbia, Canada and played varsity basketball, and enjoys playing sports during his time off, as well as spending time with his family, and traveling. He is fluent in English, Urdu and Punjabi.
