For Dr. Jay Chu, there is a necessary balance in caring for patients, akin to the
philosophy of yin and yang. Science and art, professional and personal, long-term, and immediate. In his
nephrology practice, he has found the ideal balance.
Addressing all aspects of disease management, Dr. Chu works with his patients long-term, developing strategies to
enhance their quality of life, as well as providing for their immediate acute care needs. He enjoys fostering
one-on-one relationships with patients, as well as collaborating with a multi-disciplinarian team of specialists
contributing to their care. Dr. Chu feels the patient is the most essential member of a healthcare team. He
believes in open and candid communications and in providing his patients with the information and insight they
need to make the best personal decision in an often-complex medical situation.
