Dr. Asima Raja chose a career in nephrology as it provides so much diversity and involves interacting with patients to help them make decisions about their treatment plans. She completed her internal medicine residency from Lincoln Medical and Mental Health New York. She completed her nephrology fellowship at the Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia.

She chose to work at KSOSN because she wants to work for one of the oldest, largest and the most structured groups of the community. She moved to Las Vegas as the diversity Las Vegas has to offer because of the ever-expanding communities moving from all over the country and her extended family resides here too.

Dr. Raja believes that listening to the patients and putting them in the first place is the best remedy for every disease treatment. She is easily approachable, easy to get along with and always ready to have a healthy discussion.

She is a member of American Society of Nephrology, American Board of Internal Medicine and National Kidney Foundation. She is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and some Spanish.
