Judith Tan, APN
Judith Tan, APN was inspired to choose her career path as an Acute Dialysis RN years ago after her late father had to start Peritoneal dialysis in 2009. She chose to specialize in this area to learn more about this field and to take better care of him. She graduated with highest honor as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and also finished 3 other degrees, BS Biology, BSN and Doctor of Optometry in the Philippines.
She worked as an acute dialysis RN for over 6 years before deciding to take her Master’s degree. She learned different treatment modalities for renal replacement therapies, such as peritoneal and hemodialysis.
She chose to work at KSOSN because she feels that they would be more supportive in her chosen career path. She feels that KSOSN is unique and different from other nephrology practice because the providers are all knowledgeable and wants the best for their patients.
She is approachable and passionate about patient teaching. She is also eager to impart what she learned to potential patients to help them manage their disease. She is very thorough and would do her best to give excellent care to the patients. She specializes in ESRD management and is looking forward to learning more about CKD so she could help managed this disease before its progression to ESRD.
Judith is a member of American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP) and Nevada Advanced Practice Nurse Association (NAPNA).
Judith had a conservative upbringing in the Philippines and is Christian by faith. She speaks Tagalog, Visayan, English and a little Spanish. Her hobbies include watching movies, travelling abroad, and going to the gym. She loves eating Thai foods and anything spicy!
